FAQ

What is an herbal consultation?
During a consult, the herbalist, Rachel, will guide a conversation regarding health goals and concerns, health history, and lifestyle. This is an in-depth, 60-90 minute discussion to get a full picture of your health. Rachel works from a holistic framework drawing upon the principles of 5 Phase Theory from TCM and the energetics of folk/western herbalism. We will cover sleep, exercise, nutrition, mental and emotional health, digestion, elimination, energy, and other details that pertain to your desired outcomes to create a personalized holistic health protocol.
-
How long does it take to see results?
Everyone’s journey is different. The timeline for healing and improved health outcomes depends on the severity and length of time of the health complications you experience. For most cases, many will notice improvements within 6-8 weeks. Beyond that, 3-6 months of consistent integration of lifestyle, dietary, and herbal therapy can drastically change the trajectory of one’s health. Healing is a lifelong journey of observation, willingness to change, and commitment.
-
How often should I schedule appointments?
After an initial consultation, Rachel generally recommends a 4-6 week follow up, unless otherwise discussed, to check in on integration and be sure the recommendations work well for you. From there, we can come up with a plan together.
-
Where are the botanicals sourced from for formulas?
All herbs, extracts, and topicals recommended to clients are grown, harvested, and crafted by Rachel in her home garden. Alternatively, products from other brands/herbalists that meet the same ethical and quality standards that Rachel holds for her own herbs may be recommended. Everything not grown or produced by Rachel is sourced locally when possible.
-
How much do consultations cost?
Initial consultations cost $275 and includes $100 value in initial herbal recommendations.
Follow-Up consultations cost $70 and do not include formula re-fills or new/adjusted recommendations. Herbal recommendations are priced separately at this time due to the variances in dose, herb, and method of preparation between clients.
